Event Details

A drop-in play group for caregivers and children ages birth through 5 years. A 30-minute session featuring sensory, art, and perceptual/motor development activities.

Calling all toddlers, parents, and caregivers! Come gather, meet friends, play with our selection of toys, and find great books to take home. All are welcome!

Join us for stories, poems, music, movement, and a simple craft! (Ages 0-5 years)

Come stay and play with us after our Storytime every Thursday from 11:30am to 1pm! All are welcome.

Play games, solve puzzles, and build with Lego. Fun for families and a great opportunity to meet up with friends and neighbors.

The library will be hosting movie screenings on the first and third Mondays of each month at noon.

Calling all master builders! Join us for a world of imagination and creativity at our drop-in Lego Play. 

Feeling creative? Come play and build with our selection of Legos every Saturday from 1pm to 3pm. Show us your designs and we will post to our social media pages. All are welcome! (STEM program)

It's Collage Day! Come make beautiful collages with us on March 16 from 2pm to 3pm.

The Ojai Library Fiber Arts & Knitting Club is a weekly drop-in group for adults interested in knitting, crochet, and other fiber crafts. Participants are encouraged to bring their current project with them.

Join us for an in-person Minecraft program where we play on the same server together. Computer availability is first come, first served.

Dive into the world of robotics in our interactive 6-session workshop!  Design, program, and assemble robots while exploring the exciting world of STEM.

A special, structured craft will be provided every 4th Wednesday of the month.

Paws for Reading

Join PAWS dogs for one-on-one reading sessions. Arrive at the library early to choose a book and get in line to read to a special pooch.

Children of all ages are welcome!

Fun activities exploring STEAM: science technology, engineering, art, & math. Best suited for students in grades 3-6. Meets in the Homework Center area during the school year.

Join us at the Piru Library for a fun STEAM event! This month, we'll be making gecko footprints. Recommended for creators 8 and up. 

Teens! Join us every Thursday 3:00 - 5:00pm at the Ojai Library while school is in session. Bring a friend to watch a movie or create something to take home!

Teens, celebrate the end of the school week with a Nintendo Tourney at the Fillmore Library!  

Families are welcome to storytelling, finger play, and nursery rhymes every Tuesday at 4:00pm.  Storytime is recommended for ages 0-5.

Avenue Library's Teen Volunteer Club presents STEAM activities on the third Wednesday of the month from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.  The event is free and open to children, grades K-12.

The Mobile Library, in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club, will be in front of the Nyland Acres Boys and Girls Club to serve both the club and the community. 

It's back! Chess Class for elementary and middle school children will be every Wednesday, excluding holidays, from 4:45pm to 5:45pm. Space is limited! Come sign-up at Oak Park Library. A waitlist will be available if class gets full.

Step into a world of tails and tales with our PAWS for Reading program! Join us for a heartwarming opportunity where children can practice their reading skills in the company of our gentle and attentive furry friends.

Many will play, one will win. 

Teens will compete in a variety of elimination style games.

Ready to transform your backyard into a thriving vegetable garden? Join us for an exciting journey into growing two of the most rewarding garden vegetables – beans and squash!

Join in on a lively reading and discussion with a group of local Shakespeare fans at the Ojai Library. 

Come be inspired and read your poems every third month will feature student work from Ojai area schools. Readers of all levels of experience are welcome.
