SOCAL-CELLO-CENTRIC

Three Local Artists. New Cello Music.

Attending a concert of 12 world-premiere pieces composed by 12 living Southern California composers sounds like a good way to spend a Saturday afternoon!  The varied program of everything from solo cello pieces to those for string quartet, is being led by co-producers Alex Bozman, formerly a long-time member of the Ventura College Symphony who now plays with the Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra, and Kathryn Carlson, a former Ventura, Ojai and Santa Barbara resident who played regularly with the Folk Orchestra of Santa Barbara.

A variety of guest artists will join in playing violin, viola, electric cello, bass viol and hammered dulcimer. Enjoy them in the Topping Room at the EP Foster Library, 651 E Main St,, Ventura, from 3 pm to 4:30 pm, Saturday, June 28.

The program is free and open to the public.
