Limited services - August 13, 2025

Limited services will be available at all Ventura County Library branches on Wednesday 8/13/25 due to a SoCal Edison planned power outage at our headquarters.  Item pick-up and staff-assisted checkout will be available, but there may be delays. 

  • Services NOT available on 8/13/25 include: Public computers/Internet, public Wi-Fi, printing/faxing, Express Hours/Open+ at Hill Road Library, public catalog computers, and self-checkout machines. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Debido a una interrupción programada de electricidad por parte de So Cal Edison, las sucursales de la biblioteca del condado de Ventura ofrecerán servicios limitados el miércoles 8/13/25. Podrá llevar préstamos con asistencia del personal. Puede haber retrasos.

Join us for the finale of the Ventura County Library 2025 One County, One Book program! 

Celebrate a season of community reading with a special appearance by author and journalist Michael Finkel, who will discuss his book, The Art Thief: A True Story of Love, Crime, and a Dangerous Obsession.

The author talk will take place in the Pavilion at the Museum of Ventura County, in downtown Ventura. The event is free, open to everyone, and no reservations are required.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear directly from the author of The Art Thief and be part of a county-wide literary celebration!
