All-Staff Closure

Thursday, August 28 libraries open later at 2 pm. All libraries are closed until 2 pm for staff training.

E.P. Foster - Heat Closure

The E.P.  Foster Library will be closed Thursday, August 21, and Friday, August 22,  because of excessive heat. 

Avenue Library, Saticoy Library, and Piru Library will be open on Friday, August 22 from 10am to 5pm to provide library services and to provide cooling centers. 

Updates regarding the status of E.P. Foster Library for Saturday and Sunday will be posted as soon as they are available.

Event Details

Hill Road Library will host a day of family gardening fun! Local author Dr. Kathleen Contreras will read from her new book, Harvesting Friends/Cosechando Amigos at 11am, and each family in attendance will receive a copy while supplies last! In addition, our community partners at Saticoy Food Hub will host a variety of gardening activities on our patio for children and families, including crafting seed piñatas! Many thanks to the Saticoy Food Hub and California Library Literacy Services for making this event possible! 

¡Acompáñenos a un día de jardinería en familia! La Dra. Kathleen Contreras, autora local, leerá fragmentos de su nuevo libro, "Cosechando Amigos" a las 11am, y cada familia asistente recibirá un ejemplar por familia hasta agotar existencias. En el patio, nuestros socios comunitarios del Centro de Alimentos de Saticoy organizarán diversas actividades de jardinería para niños y familias, ¡incluyendo la elaboración de piñatas con semillas! ¡Muchas gracias al Centro de Alimentos de Saticoy y a los Servicios de Alfabetización de la Biblioteca de California por hacer posible este evento!
