Need internet on the go? Borrow a Wi-Fi hotspot from Ventura County Library! 

Connect to the internet from virtually anywhere within the T-Mobile coverage area. All hotspots offer unlimited data at 4G LTE speeds. 

Funding for the hotspot lending program has been generously provided by the Ventura County Library Foundation.

 

Eligibility and Borrowing Details: 

  • Must be 18 years or older with a Ventura County Library Card in good standing.
  • One hotspot checkout per patron at a time.
  • Hotspot checkout period: 21 days, renewable up to 3 times if no holds exist.
  • Hotspots are not available for checkout during Open+ Express Hours.
  • Return to any Ventura County Library location, directly to library staff (please do not place in book drops, doing so may result in damage and fees).
  • Tampering with the device including its hardware settings or sim card is not allowed.
  • Overdue hotspots will be promptly disabled and unusable until returned.
  • Borrowing privileges may be suspended if fees associated with lost or damaged devices are not resolved. (Please note, hotspots not returned within 27 days after the due date are deemed lost).

          Hotspot Replacement Fee - $90, Charging Cord Replacement Fee - $10.50

Privacy & Data Notice

  • Upon returning the hotspot, patrons are responsible for “forgetting” the hotspot Wi-Fi name from their personal device.
  • The library cannot ensure privacy or security when using the hotpot.
  • The library does not retain access to user activity, including websites visited or passwords.

The library reserves the right to restrict or terminate Wi-Fi hotspot privileges of any patron who is misusing or abusing library equipment or not acting in accordance with library policy. The library reserves the right to update and change this policy.
