Discover & Go is a program provided by your library that offers free and low-cost passes for museums, science centers, zoos, theatres, and other cultural destinations
What is Discover & Go?
Discover & Go is a free online service that lets Ventura County Library cardholders reserve date specific passes (free or discounted, depending on the venue) to participating museums and cultural attractions.
Who can use Discover & Go?
Eligible Ventura County Library cardholders with a standard, full use library card. eCards and institutional cards are not eligible. Some offers may also have age requirements set by the venue.
How do I reserve a pass?
- Log in with your library card number and PIN
- Choose an attraction and date
- Review the offer details (limits, blackout dates, etc.)
- Reserve the pass
- Print or save the pass on your phone, as instructed
Do I need to print the pass?
It depends on the venue. Some accept a mobile pass, some require a printed pass. The offer details will tell you what is required.
Do I need photo ID?
Some venues require a matching photo ID. If needed, it will be listed in the offer details. Please bring it to avoid being turned away.
Are passes always available?
No. Passes are limited, and availability varies by attraction and date. If you do not see passes available, try another date or check back later.
What are the rules and limits?
Each attraction sets its own terms, which may include:
- Number of passes or guests per reservation
- How often can you visit
- Blackout dates and holidays
- Age requirements
Always review the offer details before reserving.
Can I cancel or change a reservation?
Most reservations cannot be changed once booked. If cancellation is available, it will be shown in your reservation details in the Discover & Go portal.
What if I have trouble logging in?
Confirm you are using an eligible Ventura County Library card and the correct PIN. If you need help resetting your PIN or checking your account status, contact your local Ventura County Library or visit the library website for account help.
What if the museum has questions about my pass?
Show the pass and follow the venue’s instructions listed in the offer details. If there is an issue at the door, ask museum staff to review the offer terms on the pass.
Who do I contact if something is not working?
If you are consistently unable to log in, or you see an error message that does not match your account status, please contact Ventura County Library for help through our website contact options.

Participating attractions appear in the Discover & Go portal and may change over time. Check the portal for the current list and available dates.
